Network Technician 1 - Music City Center
Responsible for providing telecommunication services to the Convention Center’s clients, exhibitors and internal staff. Candidate must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Candidate must be proficient in basic computer support, network troubleshooting, network maintenance, and problem resolution.
Position will be responsible for maintaining the Music City Center’s core infrastructure, server/application environment, unified communications platform as well as installing client/exhibitor show services. Position will specifically assist with end user support, maintaining the Microsoft Hyper-V cluster/replication environment, along with future hypervisor environment.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or one (1) to three (3) years of experience in computer science or a related field or any combination of education and/or experience equivalent.
- Experience with current Windows Server operating system configurations, and Office 365.
- Enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directory, virtualization, Apache/IIS web services.
- Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V Clusters, PowerShell scripting, virtual machines, server maintenance, and remote replication
- Maintain and create documentation as it relates to server and network configurations
- Proficient knowledge of LANs, WANs, and wireless network experience a plus
- Ability to interact effectively with a positive customer centric attitude daily is a must
