Description

Controller - Music City Center
Onsite only.
The Controller is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the Music City Center. This role includes reviewing the work of accounting clerks, managing fixed assets, overseeing financial statement preparation, monitoring bond entries, and driving continuous process improvement within the finance department. The Controller ensures compliance with accounting standards and supports the organization's financial health and efficiency. This position is an in person role.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with fixed assets and bond finance management.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage a team.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience in public sector accounting or working in a large event/convention center environment preferred.
• Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and bond financing preferred.
