Chief Sales Officer - Music City Center
Onsite only.
Under direction of the President/CEO has overall responsibility for the sales, marketing and promotional activities of the Music City Center and maximize the booking of national, regional and local conventions, trade shows and other events. Travel is required along with an insight and understanding of the meeting and convention/hospitality industry and meeting quotas/deadlines is required. Weekly, monthly & quarterly production/reporting accountability is a major component of the job.
- Oversees contract administration and negotiations
- Oversees daily sales efforts, overall sales goals and individual sales managers' goals
- Develops/maintains accurate and timely departmental reports as required
- Oversees and coordinates the travel and maintain customer relations in each individual sales territory
- Attends local, regional and national meetings to promote the use of the MCC, i.e., presentations to associations, corporations and other organizations who are in a position to rent/utilize the MCC
- Develops Marketing Plan/reports to achieve desired objectives
- Works jointly with the Nashville Convention & Visitor's Corporation, the local hotel community, and other hospitality organizations in the general promotion and sales of the Nashville area and conducts site visits.
- Assists in the development of promotional literature, displays/advertisements
- Responsible for the supervision of the Sales Department team members including the recruiting, interviewing, selection, and training of department team members as needed
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
